Head Coach: Randy Kuceyeski
Coach "Kuz" is entering his 31 st season at LHS, and 15th as Head Coach. He grew up in Alliance , Ohio , where he played tight end and linebacker as a three year starter. Randy and his twin brother, Ron (also a head coach at Alliance High School in Alliance , Ohio ) both received scholarships to Northwestern University and played from 1972-1976. He was a three-year letterman while playing nose tackle, and went on to receive his Masters in Education from Northwestern in 1977. Coach "Kuz" was inducted into the Alliance High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998. He was selected as an assistant to coach in the 1999 East-West Shrine All-Star game and was chosen to be the Head Coach of the East squad for the 2004 game. Coach Kuceyeski's .780 career winning percentage is the second highest in Wildcat history. In 2004, he was voted by Nike as the Illinois High School "Coach of the Year." Randy and his wife Martha, a guidance counselor at Deerfield High School , have four children. Erin, Britt, Kristen and John. "Kuz" is also a grandfather to Emma, Evan, Patrick ,Kelsey, Meghan, and Ellis.

Assistant Football Coach: Karl Jenrich
Karl is a local product, born and raised in the Antioch area. An Antioch Sequoit, he graduated from ACHS in 1968, and went on to Monmouth College in Illinois. Karl played football for Monmouth and during his three years on varsity his team lost only four games. Coach Jennrich did his student teaching at Libertyville in 1972 and has been a part of the Wildcat football team ever since. In the fall of '72 (as soon as football season was over), Karl married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia, and they reside in McHenry County with their three children: Andy, and twins, Amy and Adam. Karl retired from teaching at LHS in 2006.

Assistant Football Coach: Jim Schurr
A native of Arlington Heights and a graduate of Rolling Meadows High School, Coach Schurr attended Western Kentucky University on a baseball scholarship where he double-majored in Sports Medicine/ Athletic Training and Physical Education. During his junior and senior years there he attained All-Sun Belt honors. Coach Schurr holds Masters degrees in Exercise Science and Educational Administration. In his ninth year at LHS Jim is the Physical Welfare Department Supervisor and head baseball coach. His career began at Elk Grove High School where he was the head baseball coach and an assistant coach for football and basketball. Coach Schurr was the head football coach and varsity assistant for baseball at Niles North High School prior to coming to LHS. Jim and his wife Mary have two sons, A. J. and Nick.

Assistant Football Coach: Tom Baughman
Tom is a 1958 graduate of Niles Township H.S.(before they split) in Skokie. He received his B.A. in history from Lake Forest College, an M.A. in history from Northwestern University, and a M.A. in Educational Administration from Northeastern Illinois University. After playing halfback at Niles and halfback and quarterback at Lake Forest College, he began teaching social studies and coaching football at Grayslake H.S. in 1963. He served one year as the Grayslake freshmen coach and a second year as the Grayslake sophomore coach. When Stevenson H.S. opened in 1965 he became Stevenson’s first head football coach and remained in that position until 1981. From 1982 until 1988 while continuing to teach social studies at Stevenson, he was defensive coordinator at Lake Forest College as well as coaching the defensive line and linebackers. During this stretch he also coached his son’s team in Libertyville Boys Club Football. He rejoined the Stevenson football staff in 1989 as freshman line coach. Three years later he moved to the Stevenson varsity staff . From the 1992 through the 2005 he coached the running backs (9 years), the defensive backs (3 years), and defensive ends (1 year). In 1970 he was named Lake County High school Coach of the Year. The 1984 Lake Forest College defensive team ranked third among NCAA Division III teams in Scoring Defense (7.1 points per game). In 2000, he was inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches-Association Hall of Fame. In June, 1998, he retired from classroom teaching but continued to coach football. Tom and his wife, Suzzette, moved to Libertyville in 1970. His children Jenny (Class of 1988), Mike (Class of 1991) and Becky (Class of 1994) are all former LHS athletes and scholars.

Assistant Football Coach: Brian Wilcox
A 1986 graduate, Bryan is a Wildcat through and through. While at LHS, Bryan was a 3 sport athlete all 4 years in high school earning all state honors in football as well as a scholarship to UCLA. While at UCLA, Wilcox was a two year starter and defensive tackle on a team that set the NCAA record for most consecutive bowl game victories. He led the team in caused fumbles. Wilcox was later honored as a member of the All 80's Football Team by the Chicago Sun Times. Bryan returned to Illinois with a B.A. in History and has since received a Masters Degree in Curriculum Development from DePaul University and a C.A.S. in Administration from National Louis University. Over the course of his career in education, Bryan has been a Dean of Students as well as a History, Physical Education and Traffic Safety teacher. Bryan and his wife Lori live in Mundelein with their children Owen, Madeline and Claudia.

Assistant Football Coach: Mike Jones
A 1986 graduate of Harvard High School, Coach Jones earned seven varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball. Named All - Conference in football and baseball his senior year of high school, Coach Jones then attended Monmouth College where he earned a B.A. in mathematics and was a four-year letter winner in football as a linebacker. Named a Captain his senior year by his teammates, his overall record while playing at Monmouth was 34 - 5. Coach Jones is entering his sixth year in the math department at LHS. He began his teaching career at Grayslake High School, where he taught math and coached football and basketball for 13 years. Mike and his wife Michelle, who works in the LHS Athletic Department, have two children, Michael 9 and Bailey 6.

Assistant Football Coach: Sean Ferrell
Assistant coach Sean Ferrell graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Illinois where he lettered two years on the varsity football and baseball teams. Ferrell earned an MVP award for his senior year of football at Moline. Ferrell continued playing both football and baseball at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Ferrell then transferred to Northern Illinois University earning a Bachelor's Degree in English. Ferrell also has a Master's Degree in Educational Adminstration from Northern Illinois University. After working several years as the At-Risk teacher, Ferrell currently serves as a dean of students at Libertyville. Along with Mike Larsen, Ferrell serves as the co-head coach of the sophomore Wildcats and assistant varsity defensive strong safety coach. Ferrell resides in Grayslake, Illinois with his wife Molly and three children, Griffin, McKenzie, and Nolan.

Assistant Football Coach: Mike Larsen
Mike Larsen is a 1993 LHS graduate. He started at running back for the 1992-93 season and was also captain of the varsity track team. Mike graduated from Trinity International University with a double major in Sports Medicine / Athletic Training and Physical Education, with a minor in Coaching. At Trinity, Mike ran track and played football under former Bears star Leslie Frazier. Mike is in his eleventh year teaching Physical Education and coaching 7th and 8th grade basketball at Edgewood Middle School in Highland Park, in addition to coaching football and track at LHS. Mike has completed his second Masters in Administration and is also the current athletic director at the Middle School. Coach Larsen and his wife, Wendy, who also works in Highland Park teaching gifted children have two sons under the age of 2 1/2, Brendan, and new addition Brady. Those two keep them on their toes.

Assistant Football Coach: Jim Savage
Jim Savage has been at LHS since 1979. He has coached freshman football for 26 years and freshman gymnastics for 8 years, two sports in which he participated in high school. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and received his masters degree from National Louis University. Jim and his wife Peggy have two daughters, Gillian and Brooke.

| Assistant Football Coach: Brian Johnson
Brian, a 1989 graduate of McHenry High School, was a three sport athlete all 4 years of high school, earning seven varsity letters in football, wrestling, and track. He was honored with all conference, all-area, and most valuable defensive player awards in football. Coach Johnson was a captain and 2-way starter his senior year when McHenry qualified for the playoffs for the first time in school history. He was inducted into the McHenry High School Hall of Fame in 1990. Brian graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in biological sciences. He started his career at Marengo High School, coaching the freshman football team and becoming the varsity defensive coordinator and head wrestling coach. He later went to Grayslake High School, coaching the varsity offensive and defensive lines when Grayslake won their first playoff game in school history. Coach Johnson teaches at Grayslake High School and resides in McHenry.

Assistant Football Coach: Greg Pritchard
In his third year as a volunteer assistant, Greg attended Duke University where he was a three year letterman and a two year starter at defensive tackle. Prior to Duke, he played for Coach Walt Snyder at Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA. During the 1975 season, he was awarded Associated Press honorable mention all-state along with several all area, and all-county awards for his play at linebacker. He has been married 26 years to his wife, Lorraine, and has three children, Eric, Curt and Sara. Both boys played for Coach Kuz during the 2003 and 2004 state championship appearances. Greg has spent 28 years in the healthcare industry and is currently President and CEO of Aspen Surgical Products Inc. He is also involved in other Libertyville community activities with Board of Director positions at Condell Memorial and the District 128 Foundation for Learning.

Head Freshman Football Coach: Dale Eggert
Coach Eggert has been at LHS since 1979. He has coached freshman football for 18 years, the last 12 as Head Coach. He has coached wrestling for 30 years, 21 as Head Coach. He also teaches freshman health education. He is the faculty sponsor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Coach Eggert graduated from LHS in 1974 and was a four-year member of the LHS football program. He played defensive back on the 1973 NSC Championship team. He wrestled four years for LHS and earned All-State honors his senior year. He played for the LHS baseball team and earned All-Conference honors his junior and senior years as a third baseman. A graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Coach Eggert was on the SIU-C wrestling team. Coach Eggert was named to the Illinois Wrestling Hall-of-Fame in 2000, the Prairie State Games Hall-of-Fame in 2003, and the Lake County High School Sports Hall-of-Fame in 2004. In addition to coaching football and wrestling, he has also coached in LHS' baseball, softball and soccer programs. Dale and his wife Mary live in Libertyville.

Assistant Freshman Football Coach: Kevin O'Neill
Kevin O'Neill is originally from Park Ridge where he attended Maine South High School . He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he majored in Secondary History Education. Kevin taught and coached for 3 years at Gordon Tech in the Chicago Catholic League. This will be his seventh year at Libertyville , coaching B-Team Special Teams, defensive backs and receivers. Kevin is also the Head Freshman Wrestling Coach, and teaches several history classes. Kevin and his wife Amy –a teacher at VHHS- just moved to Libertyville this year.

Assistant Freshman Football Coach: Tim Budge
Tim is in his eighth year coaching football at LHS. Tim went to Grayslake High School and graduated in 1992. On the gridiron, Tim was a man of many positions (Linebacker, Running Back and Defensive Lineman), he played football all four years and became senior year captain. He also played basketball for three years. After high school, Tim went on to Illinois State University and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and finished his Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University. From 1997-2000, he taught math and coached freshman football at Antioch High School. Tim will be entering his 8th year teaching math at LHS. He is currently the varsity assistant boys basketball coach. Tim is married to Judy and has two sons, Michael (born Jan 2004) and Nicholas (born May 2005).

Assistant Freshman Football Coach: Ray Albin
Ray is entering his tenth season as a science teacher and assistant football coach at Libertyville. Coach Albin, a Park Ridge native, contributed to several conference championships while participating in football, wrestling, and track at Maine South High School. Ray then went on to DePauw University majoring in Biology. At DePauw, Coach Albin earned three varsity letters and one conference championship in four years of football playing various offensive line positions. Most recently, Coach Albin received his masters in administration from Loyola University. He will continue helping the LHS athletic department by coaching wrestling and is the head track coach in the off-season.
