Dear Wildcat Football Fans,
On behalf of the Wildcat Football Parents Association
(WFPA) I would
like to welcome you to the 2008 season
and what promises to be an exciting time for Wildcat
Football.
The goal of the WFPA is to provide opportunities for our
families, friends, alumni, and community to get involved in
the Libertyville High School (LHS) football program
through an assortment of activities and events
that support
and enhance the high school football experience for all.
The WFPA promotes activities that encourage the growth and development of our football program and
of our student-athletes alike. With your support providing needed resources in the way of funds, services,
time, and leadership, we are able to assist in maintaining one of the state’s highest quality football
programs.
Our organization is composed of energetic and enthusiastic people willing to contribute their time and
energy to serve all levels of this great program.
The WFPA has ample opportunities for you to get as
involved as you like.
I first became involved with the organization as my boys entered LHS. Initially my
wife and I helped out at the Scrimmage Barbeque and joined a bunch of parents painting the orange
football
yard signs. Later I got involved with the chain gangs and supporting the website. The
camaraderie was great. I enjoyed contributing where I
could and my boys appreciated the fact that I was
connected to the program. What’s more, on a chilly fall Friday night under the lights,
as the fireworks
exploded overhead and we prepared for the opening kickoff, I felt great knowing that I helped make the
program just a little more enjoyable for them and for the other families and friends in the Libertyville
football community.
In 2007 the WFPA reached 89% parent membership in our organization. This year our goal is to reach
100% and we absolutely need your support. The WFPA meets monthly in the Wildcat Den (the meeting
room over the concession stand). Meeting times and dates are posted on our website and sent out via
email. Please join us as we plan for the 2008 season and beyond. Your support can and will make a
difference. Invest in the present and future of LHS football and its student-athletes by joining the WFPA
today.
